Join us at OARC on March 9th to hear Emily Chappell, 2012 Travel Blogger of the Year speak about women and bicycles around the world.
Then stay for “Racing is Life”, a film about the irrepressible Beryl Burton.
Men, women, children, and teddy bears are all welcome!
This is a blog for women who cycle and stand up for women’s right to ride, fix and have good old-fashioned fun on bikes. Spokeswomen, you might say.
We believe every woman who braves the cat calls and takes to the road on a bike should be applauded. We want to be part of active community across the country that gets more women cycling.
Bikes can teach us how to live more simply, move our bodies, enjoy the journey, connect to our environment and protect it. Bikes promote practical skills and cooperation in our individualist, material world. In short, bikes are the future and we want women to have an equal part of it.
We post stories of our escapades, handy advice, news of bike projects and events and everything else of interest to one who cycles.
